Patrick Pretty My Secret Identity

"Missing Out On
The Amazing Colors
Of The IM Life?"
Acclaimed Poster Model Decries "Sameness,"

Simultaneously Battles Raging Case Of  "Tylomas"

Dear Internet Marketing Colleague,

Don't worry  I'm truly OK. "Tylomas" sounds bad, but it's just the medical term for ordinary calluses. You see, I've been working a lot with my princely hands lately  more than ever, really. My life as a leisurely Poster Model pretty much ended on the day back in May 2007 that I became a serious Internet Marketer. The "Sensational Master Of Eye Candy" hasn't had a lazy day since then.

Don't take that as a complaint, mind you. I very much enjoy my work. In fact, the harder I work, the better I feel, and the luckier I get. My work is one of those soul-filling things, something that gives me a sense of purpose, something that adds color to my life.

Let me share two of the most important colors of my IM life. This is one. So is this.

I use both of them liberally in my new report, "My Secret Identity: How Daring To Be Different Can Put You On The Internet Marketing Map and Position You For Online Success." I'll explain a little more about the report below.

There's a reason I use those colors. They're a big part of my secret identity.

Color. Aren't you thirsty for it? What worries me more than "raging tylomas" is "insidious sameness." There's a distinct lack of color in Internet Marketing. I'm not literally talking color here. Plenty of marketers use color. Bright Red is Big, especially in headlines. Red may work — if the words are as bright as the color, that is.

The offers themselves are what lack color. Too many of them look the same. Too many of them read the same. Too many of them follow the same formula. Too many of them lack personality.  "Sameness" is why only 4 percent of marketers online make any money. Looking at it another way, it's why 96 percent of Internet Marketers can't make a go of it.

Perhaps you should rethink your approach if your IM results aren't what you'd like them to be. There's a good chance you're buried in Google's fantastically deep Slush Pile. Your customers literally can't find you: There's an Everest of frigid slush piled on your head. It's noisy down there, too, and more than a little lonely. The Slush Pile is all about "sameness." I found two mateless socks I lost years ago down there.

One way to get out is to make yourself memorable. It's how I got out.

Here are three important things you need to know about me:

My Secret Identity By Patrick Pretty I didn't even exist until April 2007.

Branding strategies in Internet Marketing My first product was released in May and didn't set any Box Office records.

How To Be Diffferent in Online Business Some of the top Internet Marketers in the world now promote my products.

Dare To Be Different: Escape The Slush Pile

Heck, when a person is starved for color in IM, even Hex #22AAAA (the color of the subhead above) looks good  especially if the words are good.

Are your words good? Let's hope so. But words aren't enough. Doing anything else to make yourself memorable, to distinguish yourself from the pack?

How many more times can a hackneyed IM headline that begins with "Who Else Wants To" be trotted out before marketers who want to succeed finally say  . . .  "Enough!"

If you're in the Slush Pile, perhaps it's because you're doing things like everybody else. I'll put it succinctly: "Sameness" doesn't sell.

Let me save you some research time. As of this writing, the term "Who Else Wants To" triggers 526,000 search results in Google. I didn't check all 526,000 results, but I did check 800 of them. Sure enough, "Who Else Wants To" was present in all 800. That's quite a pile of slush for customers to sift through, wouldn't you agree?

"Hype" doesn't always follow the "Who Else Wants To" part. But that's not the point. The point is that "Who Else Wants To" is stale, perhaps as moldy as a three-week old loaf of bread. Besides, "hype" often does follow, which makes matters even worse. Many of the headlines say approximately the same thing (please forgive the run-on sentence):

"Who Else Wants To Get Rich The Easy Way By Doing Nothing, Changing Nothing, Downloading It, Reading It, Cashing In,  Moving To Your New Mansion In A Better Climate, Tooling Around Town In Your New Sports Car, Enjoying Your Sexy New Love Interest, Living The Easy Life?"

Oh, yes. "Bonuses Included. Lots And Lots Of Them."

If you're trying to compete in Internet Marketing and using "Who Else" and other worn-out  headlines, you're apt to remain in the Slush Pile.  "Who Else" is about "sameness."  What you really need is "tylomas." A callus can be a very good thing.

My Secret Identity

Creating things with my keyboard may cause calluses, but it makes me feel good. Besides, I never really believed all the claims I'd heard about instant riches and lazy days on the Internet. I've never been one for "formulas" and "systems." I pretty much figured that what I earned pretty much would be up to me.

How about you? What do you figure?

"My Secret Identity: How Daring To Be Different Can Put You On The Internet Marketing Map And Position You For Online Success" explains how I got out of the Slush Pile.

Hey, want to know my secret identity? Find out by reading this report. Actually, though, I'd rate that as one of the least important selling points. The most important is that you'll learn the "Patrick Pretty Way."

The "Patrick Pretty Way" is what enabled me to go from being an unknown Internet Marketer to becoming a widely recognized brand name in just a few short months. No one knew Patrick Pretty, the marketer, back in May.

By August, however, plenty of people knew me.  Even more people know me now. You're here, right?

What Others Say About "My Secret Identity"

"A Powerful Lesson For Anyone Who Dares To Go Beyond The
Current Mediocrity Of Internet Marketing . . ."

Thank you for the honor of allowing me to review your new ebook, "My Secret Identity." I thoroughly enjoyed this material.

I can honestly say that this ebook has made a deep
impact on me like few ebooks that I have read in over ten years of being online. You have challenged my mindset as a
marketer and motivated me to strive for a much higher level of  excellence in all that I do.

Your expertise at storytelling
goes a long way in teaching valuable lessons that go far
beyond internet marketing and reaches into every area of who I am as a person.

The take-away message of "My Secret Identity"
is that who you truly are as a person is woven into the fabric of who you become as a marketer and vice versa. You've taught
a powerful lesson for anyone who dares to go beyond the current mediocrity of internet marketing and create a long-lasting brand for themselves that is built upon integrity and
higher standards.

"Lessons To Be Learned Here
That Will Stay With Your Forever . . ."

Patrick,

Thank you so much for letting me take a look at  "My Secret Identity."  It was great fun to read.

Plus, I got to know more about the man behind the Patrick Pretty legend. In your inimitable way, you have both entertained, informed, and enlightened me.

I consider myself lucky to be one of the few people who saw the emergence and rapid rise of Patrick Pretty, and it's been a blast to watch.

But here's something that comes out in your book that you don't state overtly: the brand may have helped you, but it is your integrity, observation skills, and just plain likability
that is the power behind the brand.  That's branding at it's best
a way to communicate the vision, values, and personality of the entity behind the brand.

It's just so damned refreshing.  (Folks, there are lessons to be learned here that will stay with you forever.)

Congratulations on another great piece of work.

"He Takes Readers On A Journey Of Personal Discovery . . .
"

One of the most enjoyable books I have read in a long time. Patrick Pretty explains in easy-to-understand terms why so many internet marketers fall prey to "potion-purveyors" selling "magic pills" on achieving easy and instant online success.

He takes readers on a journey of personal discovery, explaining how many marketers become a "mark" in the industry and how, by differentiating yourself, you can position yourself to achieve long-term online success.

Position Yourself For Online Success

Friend, one of the toughest challenges of Internet Marketing is how to position yourself for success. You very likely won't be able to do this if you're the same as everybody else. The first step  the most important thing to absorb  is that it's necessary to get into position to succeed.

Most marketers spend little or no time contemplating how they might position themselves. They end up getting lost in a monumentally crowded field. Almost instinctively they try to emerge from that field by shouting their way out. Their headlines become bolder, the claims even more outrageous.

It's an endless cycle, really. The louder the screaming, the less distinct it becomes. "Sameness" is a self-sustaining prison. It feeds on itself and recycles itself, all so some helpless mark might be persuaded to part with his money.

The core message of "My Secret Identity" is that it's necessary to add value to the lives of customers. Customers respond when you engage them in a rational way. "Sameness" and "loudness" are irrational. It's a losing game, one that alienates customers even if they do end up plugging their noses, covering their ears and pressing the order button.

You'll find no loudness in the pages of "My Secret Identity." Don't worry: You won't be bored. It's an engaging read. You'll learn some things that can help you.

Simply click on my majestic face to order. You'll notice it's in full color. My life is about color, especially about this color and this color.

And so is "My Secret Identity."

"I Even Ignored The Phone . . ."

Hi Patrick,

I downloaded it as soon as you sent it, extracted it and opened it to save to my PC. I then made the MASSIVE mistake of opening it. I was going to read it later after the kids were home and I had sorted them out and put them to bed.

Half an hour later and I have just finished reading it!

I have to say that it's one of the best reads I have had for a while. Very enjoyable and entertaining. It teaches you lessons you MUST have without going overboard. Your style is amazingly fresh and welcomed.

Well done
a great read that I totally enjoyed and didn't put down from beginning to end. I even ignored the phone!

Thanks for letting me read this, Patrick.

"Makes For Even More Compelling Reading . . ."

Patrick,

"My Secret Identity" makes for even more compelling reading, staying ever true to PLUCK!

The fact is that you grabbed and held my attention simply by using the opposite of everything on page 11 and by staying true to your ultimate purpose.

You have again created a guideline for those new to internet marketing and those who are ready to stop being like everyone else.

"This Could Get REAL Interesting . . .
"

Hi Patrick,

Just wanted to write you a quick note to say that I really liked your "My Secret Identity" report. The background on how "Patrick Pretty" became "not just another pretty face" was wonderful. The lessons taught throughout that report were super. It's amazing what a 7-year old can learn, isn't it?

I learned that ideas can come from anything, and also that it's not difficult to create a brand that people can easily remember. I'm already thinking about a number of different things, including creating my own "alter ego." This could get REAL interesting!

Great job on the report, and I'm definitely glad I got it!

Thanks!
